Welcome to the website for the TORRINGTON "SPORTS PALACE" CONNIE MACK  Baseball team, the 2007 AND 2010 NWCT CONNIE MACK BASEBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.
 
The TORRINGTON CONNIE MACK Baseball team is a program for young men between the ages of 15-19 and 2011 marks the 29th year for this program in our community.  The team plays in the Northwest Ct Connie Mack Baseball League (www.NWCTconniemackbaseball.com)  which includes baseball teams from Central and the Northwest corner of CT as well as Eastern New York State.  The league consists of between 8-12 teams in any given year with a league schedule of 18-22 league games plus playoff games in an intensive seven week schedule that runs from approximately June 1 to August 10.

This program is for the serious and committed ball player who is looking for a competitive level of baseball play to help improve his high school ability or to improve his chances in a college program.

SIGN-UPS FOR THE TORRINGTON TEAM ARE NOW BEING TAKEN AT SPORTS PALACE, 25 PINE RIDGE RD. FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF TORRINGTON. AGE REQUIREMENTS ARE 15-19 (WITH A "NOT BEFORE" DATE OF APRIL 30TH).
 
TRYOUTS AND PRACTICES WILL BE HELD FRI., JUNE 1, 5:00  MONDAY, JUNE 4, 5:30 AT AND PRACTICES ONLY ON JUNE 5, AT 5:00  AND JUNE 11,AT 5:00 ALL AT FUESSENICH PARK.  "FOR THOSE PLAYERS NOT PLANNING ON RETURNING TO THE TEAM, PLEASE RETURN YOUR UNIFORMS AT THE FIRST TRYOUT ON JUNE 1"


*On the league level, the 2012 season is coming together as a total of (9) teams will be playing in the summer season for a chance to advance to the league championship series.  Back will be the 2011 league champion NWCT Orioles, Amenia, Torrington, Winsted, Litchfield, New Milford.  Back after a year layoff will be Washington, Middlebury-Southbury (Pomperaug) and new to the league, Watertown. 2012 is expected to be one of the more competitive seasons for the Mack League.*
